It was just over a year ago when Seahawks GM John Schneider was celebrated for a clever bit of business, acquiring safety Quandre Diggs from the Lions. Not only did Diggs make a near-immediate impact on Seattle’s defense, but the trade itself was a massive win for the Seahawks.
That October 2019 deal saw Seattle send a fifth-round pick, previously acquired from the Steelers in exchange for tight end Nick Vannett, and in return they received Diggs and a seventh-round pick.
With the Seahawks’ trade for Carlos Dunlap now official, Schneider’s brilliance has again been proven.
