Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson took a break from his contract extension talks with the team to do some charity work on Tuesday, appearing alongside “Community” star and Seahawks fan Joel McHale at an event to raise money to end childhood cancer.
Wilson and Mercer Island native McHale captained teams competing for the title of “2015 Plane Pull Champion,” to see which could pull a 92,000-pound Alaska Airlines 737-800 jet 25 feet at Boeing Field in the shortest amount of time.
The event was held to raise awareness and money for Wilson’ Strong Against Cancer foundation, to which Seattle-based Alaska Airlines donated $175,000, according to a release from the airline.
