Jarran Reed has sports hernia surgery, expected to recover before Seahawks training camp

Doug Baldwin isn’t the only Seattle Seahawks player who’s had sports hernia surgery recently.

On the same day that the Seahawks traded star defensive end Frank Clark to the Kansas City Chiefs, it was reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that DT Jarran Reed was in Philadelphia for his own sports hernia operation. The surgery was performed by, Dr. William Meyers, the same one who worked on similar operations for both Baldwin and Marshawn Lynch.

According to Rapoport, Reed is expected to be out 4-6 weeks, which means he shouldn’t really be in any danger of missing the start of training camp.
