Jahri Evans, Jordan Hill, Troymaine Pope among Seahawks' final cuts

The Seattle Seahawks cut 24 players on Saturday, including former All-Pro guard Jahri Evans, in order to reduce their roster to 53 players by the NFL's 1 p.m. Pacific deadline.

The Seahawks have yet to officially announce the cuts, but the moves briefly appeared on the team's depth chart before being removed.

The 33-year-old Evans signed with Seattle in early August to provide veteran depth to a young offensive line or even potentially compete for a starting job. But Evans, who spent 10 years in pass-happy New Orleans, never quite adjusted to offensive line coach Tom Cable's zone blocking system.
