Seattle Seahawks defensive edge (yeah, I chose that word on purpose for some reason) Jadeveon Clowney was held out of Sunday’s win over the Philadelphia Eagles but hopes to return next Monday against the Minnesota Vikings. Head Coach Pete Carroll gave the update at Monday’s press conference.
Pete Carroll says Clowney has an injury related to a sports hernia. Was treated for that Friday in Philly. Carroll says the treatment seems to have gone well and that Clowney "has passed along'' that he's hoping to play Monday.

Carroll noted that the injury was related to a sports hernia, as John Gilbert wrote here earlier today.
