It’s hard to imagine, but Seahawks’ Kam Chancellor may have played his last NFL snap

In an interview Monday on 710 ESPN Seattle, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Chancellor will miss the rest of the season due to a neck injury. But it was the six words that followed — “beyond that, it’s up to him” — that knocked the wind out of 12s across the state.

Earl Thomas is the surefire Hall of Famer who will go down as the one of the best safeties to have played the game. Richard Sherman is the shutdown corner whose brashness came to exemplify the Legion of Boom.
