Throughout the offseason and into training camp fans were excited about the potential cornerback Kalan Reed offered to the Seattle Seahawks covering opposing receivers out of the slot. Even through training camp as Jamar Taylor took the lead in the battle for the nickel role, some fans felt Reed’s youth and potential made him the long term favorite take over the role.
However, things went sideways quickly when Reed injured his neck after playing just five snaps against the Minnesota Vikings, and he was placed on injured reserve earlier this week.
