Last week I published an article about potential Seattle Seahawks trade targets before the trade deadline. In many of the comments, it was clear that fans identified the Seahawks more as “sellers” than “buyers.”
If you’re not familiar with the terms above, it refers to sellers, those teams that no longer have much expectation in the season and trade their players in order to have more draft capital/cap space for the next season.
Buyers are teams that are (or feel they are) in the race for the playoffs. These teams are looking to strengthen in careful sectors of their time, with the intention of achieving the postseason goal.
