Most of you around North America moved your clocks forward one hour on Sunday, signaling the beginning of Daylight Saving Time. The state of Washington is considering year-round DST. Instead of a 5 AM sunrise and 9 PM sunset in July, we’d get 4 AM sunrises and 8 PM sunsets. In the winter time, we’d see 5 PM sunsets in December but 9 AM sunrises.
Anyway, Washington legislature has a bill that has bipartisan support, and if it passes, state residents won’t have to change clocks twice a year. Congress would need to authorize it, and it would go into effect the year after the bill’s passing.
