With pick number 79 in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks selected defensive end Rasheem Green out of USC. A defensive end with the ability to move inside on passing downs, much like the recently traded Michael Bennett, Green may provide some of the interior pass rush on third and long that the team has been searching for in recent seasons.
As others have noted, Green compares very similarly to Bennett both athletically and physically, and now the team simply needs to see how he develops going forward. He’s extremely young, but carries significant upside potential for the team, especially given the tiny salary cap charge he will carry given the fact he is drafted in the third round.
