The move the Seahawks made Tuesday — waiving Tharold Simon and replacing him on the roster at cornerback with free agent Neiko Thorpe — would seem to speak mostly to the team finally tiring of waiting on Simon to get healthy and fulfill what was once regarded as vast potential.
But it’s possible Seattle’s decision to move on from Simon was made easier seeing the manner in which DeShawn Shead has acclimated to playing the right cornerback spot.
And especially knowing that they can pretty much keep Shead in the fold next year if they want to.
