In 2016, the Seahawks dropped to 23rd in rushing efficiency, the first time since Russell Wilson became the quarterback that the team ranked below seventh. And Seattle's running backs averaged just 3.83 yards per carry (24th).
There were several reasons why the Seahawks struggled to get the ground game going. Wilson's legs were not a factor because of injuries, the run-blocking was not good and they suffered injuries in the backfield.
