The Seattle Seahawks have been in the hunt for a running back, and they’ve got their guy. On Tuesday, it was announced that former Packers running back Eddie Lacy has joined the team. Adam Schefter has the contract details.
Lacy has struggled with both weight problems and injuries in recent seasons. He only played in five games last year before his season was cut short due to ankle surgery. At the time of his injury, Lacy had been averaging 5.1 yards per carry on 71 rush attempts, but didn’t record a touchdown. The 26-year-old rushed for over 1,100 yards in each of his first two years in Green Bay (missing just one game), and was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2013.
