NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Running back Bishop Sankey, a former Washington Huskies standout, was among 22 players released by the Tennessee Titans on Friday as the franchise reached the 53-man roster limit a day before Saturday’s leaguewide deadline.
Sankey, 23, was the first running back selected in the 2014 draft. The second-round choice had 199 carries for 762 yards, a 3.8 average, and three rushing touchdowns in his two seasons with the Titans.
Sankey carried eight times for 25 yards in Thursday’s 21-10 exhibition victory over Miami after not having a rushing attempt in the previous game against Oakland.
