Tacoma native and former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Jon Kitna has a new job.
The 14-year NFL veteran was named coach of Brophy College Preparatory, a Jesuit high school in Phoenix, the school announced Thursday. Kitna will also teach math and P.E.
Kitna started his coaching career at Tacoma’s Lincoln High School, his alma mater, then moved to Texas where he coached at Waxahachie High near Dallas.
“I'm excited,” Kitna told the Arizona Republic. “This year, God was doing something. The thing that excites me about Brophy, there are so many coaches there who have been doing it a long time.
