For many teams across the NFL training camp begins in earnest this week, as the pads come on and full contact practices begin. For the Seattle Seahawks, that took place Monday, while the Carolina Panthers are set to have their first padded practice of the year Tuesday.
When the Panthers take to the practice field on Tuesday, though, they won’t have the services of former first round pick Rashaad Penny at running back, as the team issued an announcement Tuesday morning that Penny has been placed on the reserve/retired list.
