The Seattle Seahawks remain taking it “day-by-day” with running back Marshawn Lynch, coach Pete Carroll said Friday during his weekly appearance on KIRO 97.3 FM.
“We are doing it day-by-day, trying to see how he responds to each day and see if he can find his confidence where he can get after it,” Carroll said. “He’s working really hard at it and he’s trying his best and we’ll see how that goes when it gets closer to gameday.”
While that might seem contradictory to the ESPN report Thursday night that Lynch had texted “I’m ready” for Sunday’s divisional playoff game at Carolina, it could just be the team taking more of a cautious approach compared to last week, when everything pointed to Lynch playing and then he did not.
