Ex-Seahawk QB Tarvaris Jackson says he’s broke, asks for public defender, is denied

Former Seahawk quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with an incident that happened a week ago, is claiming he’s broke and can’t afford a lawyer, according to a report Friday from TMZ.

Jackson, who records show made roughly $12 million in his NFL career and had a salary of $1.5 million last season with the Seahawks, is reported to have said that he “has no income, no savings, no banks accounts, stocks, etc … all he owns is a $100,000 car,” according to TMZ, which cited court records.
