The offense of the Seattle Seahawks suffered a big blow in Week 6 when second year tight end Will Dissly went down with a torn Achilles tendon that landed the converted defensive lineman on injured reserve. The Hawks have subsequently played the last two weeks with just two tight ends on the roster, in Luke Willson and Jacob Hollister, with George Fant obviously serving as an extra tight end when needed.
Thus, the news that veteran Ed Dickson is set to practice this week with the intention of the team activating him to the 53 man roster in advance of the Week 9 game against Bruce Arians and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers is likely very welcome to many.
