Despite the Seattle Seahawks undoubtedly being delighted with their recent win over the Carolina Panthers, having come unstuck surprisingly against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 12, the news that free safety Earl Thomas will be out for the season is certainly not the news that Head Coach Pete Carroll would have been hoping for. The Seahawks placed Thompson on the injured reserve list following the news on Tuesday, with the 27-year-old having suffered a broken tibia during Sunday’s win at the Bank of America Stadium.
The Seahawks will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the NFC West standings, and with an 8-3-1 record so far this season, have added safety Jeron Johnson and fullback Marcel Reece to their roster, while waiving running back George Farmer.
