RENTON, Wash. -- Most players in the Seahawks locker room have downplayed the issues that have led to a 4-5 record.
Safety Earl Thomas, however, offered an honest assessment Thursday of what he thinks has gone wrong.
"I just think it’s an attitude. It’s a mindset," Thomas said. "You’ve got to give it up for the next guy. It’s not showing up all the time like that."
Why is that?
"I couldn’t tell you," he continued. "Just people gotta get out of their own way and give it up for the team."
Players and coaches have talked all week about offensive issues on third down, the explosive plays allowed by the defense and why the team was hit with 14 penalties in Sunday night's loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
