The Dallas Cowboys selected offensive lineman Connor Williams with the 50th overall pick on Friday. This is usually not news relevant to the Seattle Seahawks, but given weeks of speculation that the Cowboys could use the pick on a trade for Earl Thomas, it does seem worth noting.
Now that the second round of the NFL Draft is over, we can come closer to guaranteeing that Thomas will remain a Seahawk for at least the next few months. And probably the 2018 season.
There are never any guarantees, but Seattle seems incredibly unlikely to trade Thomas for a third round pick.
