Earl Thomas doesn’t practice due to personal matter, status for Cowboys game uncertain

I guess you could call the Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys game “The Earl Thomas Bowl.” We know that the Cowboys were essentially the leading team when negotiating failed trade talks to land the All-Pro safety, and really this can all be traced back to the famous “come get me” moment on Christmas Eve 2017 in Arlington.

Thomas’ contract holdout is over, he’s been his usual excellent self through two games, but with the Cowboys game looming, there’s suddenly uncertainty over whether or not he’ll play this Sunday.

On Friday, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll noted that Thomas did not participate in practice due to an unspecified personal issue.
