Eagles withdraw qualifying offer to Chris Polk, making him a free agent

Former Washington star running back Chris Polk is a free agent after the Eagles withdrew their qualifying offer to him. After Philly traded LeSean McCoy and then signed Demarco Murray and Ryan Mathews in the offseason, Polk's role from last year as the change of pace to McCoy became pretty cloudy. He's now free to sign anywhere, and he'll likely receive some interest on the open market.

The fourth year pro went undrafted in 2012 despite being billed as a likely 2nd or 3rd round pick, and it was revealed that medical exams of his shoulder scared teams off from using a pick on him.
