Just over 16 months ago Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts signed a five-year, $255 million contract that made him the highest paid player in NFL history. Hurts held the title of highest paid player in league history for all of ten days, before Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens took the title from him.
In the time since then, several quarterbacks have signed contracts that pushed Hurts down in the rankings, including Justin Herbert, Jared Goff, Tua Tagovailoa, Trevor Lawrence, Joe Burrow and Jordan Love.
Friday night in a primetime game played at Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Hurts and Love will face off when the Eagles and Green Bay Packers battle for early season bragging rights and playoff positioning.
