Wide receiver Doug Baldwin and some of his Seattle Seahawks teammates met with members of the Seattle Police Department on Monday as part of Baldwin's continued involvement in social activism.
According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, an SPD spokesperson confirmed the meeting but did not reveal the exact nature of what was discussed.
The meeting occurred after Baldwin announced his intention to open up the lines of communication in September, per Condotta:
At this very moment, we're scheduling a meeting with the mayor of Seattle, with police chiefs across the country, across the state I should say, and we're discussing ways to just start discussion.
