I woke up bright and early Monday morning with a slight hangover, but the sweet taste of victory, combined with the salty tears of Denver Broncos fans lingered on my palate. I have to say, very few things are as satisfying as witnessing the collective delusion of rival fans morph into cognitive dissonance as they watch the quarterback they had already crowned king struggle mightily to complete a pass against a defensive scheme cooked up by a rookie head coach. I can honestly say, I don’t remember the last time the Seattle Seahawks put together such a completely dominant four-quarter defensive performance, but this is the type of defensive performance that directly correlates with an increase in local birth rates.
