A hot bit of history popped out of the Seattle Seahawks’ overtime win at Foxborough today against the New England Patriots. No, not the weird pre-game, Keeper of Light ceremony that the Patriots threw. I’m talking about DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Dante Koplowitz-Fleming, an NFL senior researcher, tweeted out this afternoon that Metcalf and Smith-Njigba are the very first Seahawks players—ever—to record 10+ catches and 100+ receiving yards in the same game. And we were able to verify it.
DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are the first pair of teammates each with 10+ catches and 100+ receiving yards in a game in Seahawks history
