For Darrell Taylor, the year ended on a pessimistic note. In mid-December, asked again about the rookie’s status, Pete Carroll told reporters it was the last chance for Taylor to get involved before season’s end. While Taylor wasn’t able to practice immediately following that claim from Carroll, 2021 has begun on a positive note.
On Tuesday, Taylor was officially designated to return to practice by the team, opening up a three week window for the pass rusher to practice and possibly be activated to the 53-man roster. The second-round pick has been on the NFI list throughout the season as a result of a stress fracture suffered at Tennessee.
