The Seahawks are interested in re-signing a key member of the 2013 Super Bowl title team — defensive end Chris Clemons — according to a report from Albert Breer of the NFL Network.
Clemons, 34, was recently released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he played the last two seasons after being released by the Seahawks.
Breer reported that Clemons was en route to visit the Seahawks on Wednesday morning and that if things went well he could sign a contract while in town (since he was released he could sign at any time). Since Clemons was recently cut by the Jaguars he would not factor into the formula for compensatory draft picks, which is key for the Seahawks and would make him a pretty low-risk signing.
