Could ex-UW target Jacoby Brissett be a good long-term fit as Seahawks’ backup QB?

Quarterback looms as a potentially interesting position to watch for the Seahawks in the NFL draft this week due to the uncertainty of the backup spot. Brissett is among several who could intrigue Seattle as a mid- to late-round option.

For a tantalizing couple weeks in January 2011, University of Washington football coaches almost had Jacoby Brissett convinced to come to Seattle and become the next Jake Locker.

A few years later, Brissett ended up at North Carolina State, a couple quarterbacks removed from the Russell Wilson era.

And who knows? If the Seahawks decide they need a long-term prospect at backup quarterback, maybe Brissett’s brushes with Seattle and Wilson will merge into his future.
