After being released by the New Orleans Saints, running back C.J. Spiller found a new home with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday.
The Seahawks announced the news, adding they released Terrence Magee to make room on the roster.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network explained the reasoning:
The #Seahawks, in need of a healthy RB, are signing free agent CJ Spiller, source said. An audition that's cost effective.

As Rapoport previously reported, the 29-year-old running back worked out for the New York Jets on Tuesday, but instead, he will join a team that suddenly needs depth at running back.
