Chuck Allen, a former University of Washington star who served 20 years as an executive for the Seattle Seahawks, died Thursday at 77 according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Allen was an all-Pac-8 and All-Coast guard for the Huskies in the 1959 and 1960 seasons, with each of those ending with a UW win in the Rose Bowl.
Allen was drafted in the 28th round by the Chargers and was a star linebacker for San Diego from 1961-69 despite being undersized at 210 pounds. He then spent two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers before ending his career in 1972 with Philadelphia.
