Veteran defensive end Chris Clemons has informed the Seattle Seahawks that he's retiring.
Clemons, 34, signed a one-year deal with the Seahawks earlier this offseason. The contract details suggested he was going to have to compete for a roster spot.
Clemons had three sacks in 16 games (seven starts) last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
