The game is rematch of the 2023 AFC Championship Game played at Arrowhead in late January, a contest that saw the Chiefs sneak out a 17-10 victory while dominating the time of possession. Three days after the loss, the Ravens lost again, with defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald leaving to become the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, taking over for Pete Carroll.
