RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he's confident no other players were involved when Fred Jackson crashed his Chevrolet Corvette on a public road outside the team facility Tuesday afternoon.
"Fred lost control of his car, had an accident, and he was ticketed for that," Carroll said.
"We're very fortunate that nobody was hurt, and we're lucky in that regard."
Jackson's car struck a street sign and dragged it across a two-lane road where the vehicle came to a stop. The sign was implanted into the front of Jackson's car, which was towed away.
