Bruce Irvin was often quick to note during his Seahawks tenure that he loved nothing more than sacking a quarterback. And few things, he maintained, hurt him more than when Seattle's pass rush lacked.
"It feels terrible," Irvin told 710 ESPN Seattle last October when asked about the struggling pass rush. "It's like your wife cheating on you or something. It's terrible."
So it made a great deal of sense when Irvin, new recipient of a four-year, $37 million contract from the Oakland Raiders ($19 million guaranteed), went on Sirius XM NFL radio this week and complained about his role as a SAM linebacker in the Seahawks' 4-3 scheme.
