The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos played a relatively clean football game in terms of overly physical play, but there were still a couple of fines issued by the NFL. Thankfully, neither one of them was on the Seahawks.
In the opening quarter, Broncos outside linebacker Nik Bonitto was flagged for roughing the passer on Geno Smith for a hit to the head/neck area. This is a reviewable play under the modified replay assist rule, but obviously this was not overturned. It’s far from egregious but it is nevertheless a roughing penalty, which will cost Bonitto $8,791.
