While Brian Schottenheimer’s arrival as offensive coordinator in Seattle wasn’t warmly received by most Seahawks fans, he has exceeded expectations during his first three seasons.
This season, Seattle’s offense tore out of the gate, led by unbelievable play from Russell Wilson. Though the Seahawks offense has sputtered in recent weeks, they remain a top-five unit by DVOA. As often happens, the man calling plays for that unit has drawn interest.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Schottenheimer was presented to the Texans as someone of interest for their vacant head coaching position by Jed Hughes, who is assisting in their search.
