Author’s note: This is the fourth installment of my weekly column, Barely Relevant.
I dropped my daughter off at school the other morning… and found myself driving home listening to Taylor Swift again. She is so sentimental. There are songs about dancing around by the refrigerator light with old lovers, chasing lovers down hallways, and ski trips with old lovers… songs telling you to just run, songs telling you about guys she couldn’t get, guys she wished she still had, and guys she constantly fights with.
They all – even the new ones – have this country edge.
