Jerod Mayo has already lost to Mike Macdonald. Earlier this year, he held the title of “youngest coach in the NFL” for about three weeks before conceding it to Mike Macdonald. Mayo, 38, took over as the New England Patriots head coach after Bill Belichick – one of the oldest – departed. Of course, Macdonald, now 37 and officially the youngest head coach in the NFL, took over as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks last January. He replaced Pete Carroll, who was officially the oldest head coach in the NFL.
