Banged up Rams place 3 key players on IR, including Puka Nacua

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams placed three key players on the injured reserve list: wide receiver Puka Nacua, starting left guard Steve Avila, and starting left tackle Joe Noteboom.

During the Rams’ season opener against the Detroit Lions, Nacua injured his right knee, the same knee that plagued him during the off-season. Nacua will be out of action for at least four games.

In the same game, Avila aggravated a knee ligament while Noteboom suffered an ankle injury, dealing two tough blows to Los Angeles’s offensive line. Per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Avila could be back on the field in November after having successful surgery on Friday.
