The Seahawks are off this weekend, their bye coming at exactly the midway point of the NFL season (and essentially splitting the difference between the bye in the fourth week last year and at week 12 in 2013).
And as the Seahawks take their bye, their playoff chances remain somewhat statistically remote.
Numberfire.com, for instance, gives the Seahawks just an 18.66 percent chance to make the playoffs, which actually went down 0.96 percent from last week despite the win at Dallas due to wins by other teams in the NFC.
The Seahawks at the moment are the eighth seed in the NFC at 4-4 behind the four division leaders (Carolina, Green Bay, Arizona and the New York Giants, in that order) and the two wild card teams (Atlanta at 6-2 and Minnesota at 5-2).
