Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is fined $11,576 by NFL for pelvic-thrust move during Seahawks game

NEW YORK – Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has been fined $11,576 by the league for a celebratory gesture Sunday.

Palmer pumped his fist and added a pelvic thrust — drawing the fine for unsportsmanlike conduct — near the end of the Cardinals’ 39-32 victory over the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field.

Palmer made the gesture after Arizona running back Andre Ellington broke a 48-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter. NBC’s cameras showed Palmer’s gesture, and it quickly went viral.

“I had my buddies in the sideline, right four or five rows up,” Palmer said told ESPN.
