Arizona Cardinals’ Mike Iupati injures neck vs. Seattle Seahawks, taken off field in ambulance

Arizona Cardinals guard Mike Iupati suffered a neck injury during the third quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks and was taken off CenturyLink Field in an ambulance.

The Cardinals had the ball on first-and-10 at the Seahawks’ 36-yard line. Quarterback Carson Palmer handed off to Chris Johnson, who was running behind Iupati. Iupati’s helmet appeared to collide with Seahawks strong safety Kam Chancellor’s shoulder at the line of scrimmage and he fell to the ground.

Several Cardinals teammates gathered around Iupati as doctors attended to him on the field. After a few minutes, the ambulance came onto the field.
