One of the funniest things about this job to me is when I write about or mention the quality of another team, having that team’s fans respond to me with “Why don’t you focus on your own team?” as if the relativity of talent doesn’t matter in competitive sports. Relativity is ... everything. And writing about the quality of other teams, especially teams within your own division where relativity is everything (and explains things like “How do the Patriots win the AFC East every year for almost two decades?” and “How did Chuck Pagano keep a job for so long?
