RENTON — At some point in the last day, maybe someone has reminded Gary Jennings that the greatest receiver in Seahawks history was a fourth-round pick who was also let go by the team that originally drafted him before he ever played a down in the NFL.
Steve Largent, pick No. 117 overall in 1976, overcame an early hiccup when Houston gave up on him and traded him to the Seahawks, only for Largent to forge a pretty good career for himself.
The Seahawks waived Jennings, pick No. 120 in the 2019 draft, on Wednesday.
