The Seattle Seahawks bolstered their edge depth by acquiring outside linebacker Trevis Gipson in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The trade comes after Seattle’s best edge rusher, Uchenna Nwosu, suffered a knee injury on the first drive of Saturday’s preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns, when he was chop blocked by Wyatt Teller.
Nwosu is reportedly expected to recover in 2-6 weeks. He was not placed on IR at first, which is a good sign (the team was hoping he would be ready in less than four weeks), but it’s worth noting that the team could do so at any time.
