Running back Adrian Peterson left Seattle without signing a contract with the Seahawks, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.
Peterson was the second free-agent back to meet with the Seahawks. Eddie Lacy was in town over the weekend.
That Peterson left without a deal is not a surprise. The sense here is that the Seahawks are in the information-gathering process with free-agent running backs. They are expected to host Latavius Murray on Tuesday and Jamaal Charles on Wednesday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Pete Carroll made it clear after last season that getting the run game back on track was an offseason priority.
