RENTON -- Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was nice enough to offer his apologies to the media following rookie minicamp Sunday, knowing that their attendance likely came at the cost of a Mother's Day brunch.
It was also nice of him to send everyone at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center off with a laugh with the final activity of the day, a field-goal kicking competition between offensive and defensive linemen.
Barely any of the five or six attempts from the 15-yard line sniffed the uprights, offering perhaps a much-needed moment of comic relief for the number of players who basically just completed a three-day job interview.
